Diane Williams Bio
Diane Williams, a native Detroiter, is a wife and mother of two children. She graduated with honors from Murray Wright High School in June 1982 and completed her education at Lake Superior State University where she obtained an Associate of Arts in Executive Secretarial Science and certifications in Office Management and Stenography in May 1985.
Mrs. Williams has been a real estate investor for the past eight years, a Nationally Certified Aerobic/Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Fitness Trainer for over fifteen years and a life-long fitness advocate. She currently trains and instructs in the martial arts of Gung Fu Aikido-Kickboxing at the School of Combative Arts in Detroit. She is also affiliated with the Karate Schools of America and is a member of the International Tang So Doo Federation, the traditional art of karate, where she has competed and placed first in sparring and forms technique.
Dedicated and committed in her efforts to educate and motivate people of all ages to increase their knowledge of the benefits of physical activity, diet and nutrition and promote the idea of “Fit for Life”, Mrs. Williams has donated countless hours to various community fitness programs, including Think Detroit Police Athletic League as a volleyball coach for the past several years, Spiritual Aerobics Instructor at Bright moor Community Center, Fitness Specialist for the Healthy Kids After School Program, and Girl Scouts of Metropolitan Detroit Troop Leader and Activities Coordinator.
Diane is a member of El Bethel Church in Redford, Michigan, and serves as one of the leaders in the Children’s Ministry. She believes her greatest gift is her desire to help others achieve their goals.
Her future ambition is to establish a youth fitness foundation for “Healthy Kids” which would promote and encourage a healthier lifestyle, through physical activity, good nutrition and weight management in an effort to decrease the growing number of youth diabetes in America. |
