ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be a United States Citizen.
- You must be a lupus patient with a board certified physician approving the lupus diagnosis.
- Applicant must be a Michigan resident planning to attend or presently attending an undergraduate program at an accredited 2 or 4-year Michigan college, university or vocational school. Student must be seeking a bachelor’s degree or certificate of completion from an accredited institution and be a full-time or part-time student.
- Scholarships are awarded to those who have demonstrated an involvement in community, campus, church and provided a list of outside activities.
- Official high school or higher learning institution transcripts from registrar’s office are required. (Transcripts must be sent from academic institution.)
- Must provide an acceptance letter from the higher learning institution you are planning to attend.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 17 to 25.
- Parent(s), guardian(s), spouse names, address and telephone numbers.
- A detailed essay on the topic of “My Reasons for Desiring A Higher Education.”
- Must have three (3) letters of recommendation (one can be a nomination letter) from a physician, pastor, counselor, teacher, principal, employer or non-family member attesting to the applicant’s character, personality, and academic ability.
- Complete all the required components on the scholarship application form.
- Scholarship funds are not renewable.
